Joy Jordan-Lake is a bestselling author of thirteen books, the last several of which are dual timeline novels and historical suspense for adults, although her work-in-progress is a contemporary novel set in Northern Italy. She has also published three children’s picture books. The most recent of her novels is Echoes of Us, set in present day and WW2 St. Simons Island, Georgia, was included in a list of People magazine’s recommendations for fall 2024 reads and listed by SheReads among nine bestselling books for fans of All the Light We Cannot See. Joy’s other novels include A Tangled Mercy, a Historical Novel Society Editor’s Choice selection; Under a Gilded Moon, a North Carolina Reads 2023 selection; and the Christy Award-winning Blue Hole Back Home. Joy’s most recent children’s picture book is All the Little Animals, recently released from HarperCollins/Tommy Nelson. Having earned a BA and Ph.D. in English literature, Joy currently writes full time but still teaches occasionally as an adjunct professor. Having faced her share of early rejections, she relishes the chance now to encourage other writers at workshops and retreats.
